A few ingredients for a perfect Sunday

Whether it’s Winter or Summer, hot or cold, Sundays are days that seem to take on a mind of their own. They can be both relaxing and lazy as well as productive and motivating at the same time. I thought I’d share a few ingredients that make a perfect Sunday for me.

Tea.

Tea comes in so many flavours and fragrances. You can’t really miss when choosing tea. I’d recommend Ceylon tea or Cranberry, Apple and Cinnamon blend from Woolworths… hey, it’s pink. The only thing more awesome than tea is pink tea.

A good book.

There’s nothing like reading a really great page-turner. A good book is also something timeless and that can be read over and over without getting boring. Coupled with the afore-mentioned tea, you’re well on your way to a perfect Sunday.

An alarm clock.

OK, this may seem a bit strange to add to the list. Strangely enough, it fits. Waking up earlier than usual ensures that you have more Sunday to enjoy. Simple, yet effective.

A quiet spot.

Whether its in bed or at the bottom of the garden, that special quiet spot affords one time to think, recharge and relax.

As you can see, the above four ingredients are simple and unassuming at first sight. When combined, however, you wake up early, make a cup of pink tea, pick up your page-turner and toddle off to the bottom of the garden to sit quietly and read. Sounds like a perfect Sunday to me. 🙂
